I haven't read this but it came out when I was in high school and working in my local public library. It was a really big deal as the fictional town in the book was based partly on my town, St. Marys. It's also based partly on Stratford, where I went to high school, and partly on Elora, near where I live now. And partly on Paris, which I have no claim to but isn't super far from me. So all-in-all, a pretty close #setnearwhereilive! #riotgrams

Most of her books are #setnearwhereilive and this one was inspired by a real life story. https://www.wsj.com/articles/SB117819908221590891 Usually I zip through her books, but I'm finding this one to be a bit of a chore, perhaps because I remember the playing out of the actual story back in the day. There's also some unfortunate "closure" more recently that makes this a little creepy. #riotgrams

erinreads I've read a couple of her books now and only initially picked her up because of the Maryland connection! Also, its wild that it took nearly 40 years to break this case! 8y
Susanita @erinreads I'm glad they finally got the guy and he's going to trial this fall. 8y
