Always Was Always Will Be is an excellent book of the history of First Nations protest movements in Australia. Suitable for middle grade and up, but I learned things also. Recommended.
4 ⭐ Susan Verde and Peter Reynolds are a bestselling team for a reason. Their books are colorful and heartfelt and have an important message that all kids need to hear. The message in this book is that “I am me” no matter what. That everyone is different and that‘s exactly the way it should be. That everyone is unique and have the things that make them special. And that no matter who you are or how you look or how you act I am me and you are you
And now I want to hug a sunflower seed. 🥹 This series is wonderful. Just that gentle, hopeful way of relaying the fact that we're all flawed and different and capable of change and deserving of belief in our ability to do so. Love the art. Very difficult not to hear the “baaaaaaad seed“ refrain to the tune of 'Bad to the Bone', which I presume was on purpose. 😁😉
I Am Enough is a beautifully written and illustrated affirmation of self-worth that speaks to readers of all ages.
powerful and uplifting story about self-acceptance, kindness, and embracing who you are.
This is an amazing book for social emotional regulation. Would be very beneficial for age ranges K-3. I will definitely include this in my future classroom.
I loved the art work throughout this book and the megging behind the story
I really enjoyed this book and the journey of the bad seed and what his bad behavior caused. I think this book would be super important in a classroom setting as to encourage students to understand bad behavior has consequences!
