A Wrinkle in Time | Madeleine L'Engle

Pickpick

In elementary school, I was in the lower reading levels and never had the opportunity to read this book. 20 years later, and I have finally gotten around to reading it. This book is just plain timeless. It is so incredibly well written. The characters are beautiful in their own unique ways. And I really appreciated the themes of love and family. Sad that the darkness is still relevant today… but definitely well worth the read!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨(4.5/5)

dabbe As a teacher, I find your 1st sentence completely 💔. What on earth do we do to kids? No wonder some walk away from elementary school hating to read. In the 70s we had book kits with birds. That's where the “I'm a bluebird reader“ (I think) came from. They were the best readers. Nobody wanted to be the sparrow reader. Seriously shameful. #offmysoapbox. Glad you finally read it and loved it. ❣️ 2y

JSW Adding this comment to clarify: you don't have to be a parent to guide and raise generations. We all have impact. It's ok to be a parent. It's ok to be child-free. #offmysoapbox 8y
