Last question for March's book!

The reason why Waverly can appear in Marshall's vicinity is never explained. Did that bother you, or did the story allow you to embrace it it with no explanation?

[DELETED] 206653737 I think some more explanation would have been nice, I was going off the candle did i,t but how? why?! I also wondered why they didn't find it strange and question it more. I think the characters could have been developed a little more in lots of areas though. 8y
MrsCox2007 While I was reading the book, I didn't really care why Waverly could travel to Marshal, but it did bother me that Waverly didn't care why or how she could. I agree with @bookish22 about the characters could have been more developed. 8y

Next question:

At one point, Autumn calls Waverly a sociopath, but the latter labels herself as a pragmatist, a "brutal, calculating, morbid robot." How would you define her character?

Time for another question!

Autumn: Awesome Friend or Manic Pixie Dream Gal Pal?

#fyabookclub #marfyabc

Jas16 Both 8y
MrsCox2007 Manic Pixie Dream Gal Pal 8y
BrandiNB A little bit of both, but more of a Manic Pixie Dream Gal Pal than anything else. 8y
[DELETED] 206653737 I have to say both as well, I think she really was a good friend but she defiantly played the roll of manic pixie dream girl. 8y

New month means it's time for a new book, and a new icebreaker!

Who was the Maribeth Whitman of your high school? And did you have any run-ins with her?

#fyabookclub #marfyabc

MrsCox2007 In my high school, there was one girl who I would say was a Maribeth. Because our school was so small (less than a tenth of the size of the one in our book), I had to deal with her on many occasions. But unlike Waverly, we were not friends. In fact many times, I was the one who tended to be on the receiving end of her mean side. 8y
manders I went to a huge high school (like 2700 students in total for all 3 grades?), so I'm sure there were Maribeths, but we were just too big for there to be one mean girl to rule the school. Plus, I was in nerd IB classes, so I basically only knew people in that group anyway, and we didn't have any notorious mean girls in my year. 8y
