Friday afternoon plans. I‘m gonna finish the comic, then wallow in queer fiction on this Victoria Day long weekend. I‘ve got BURNING BRIGHT to finish, a couple of samples to try, and Anna Zabo‘s latest. ❤️❤️❤️

(Y‘know, the saddest thing about switching from red hair to blue is that I can no longer call it my Magneto look when I wear purple lipstick. Now I‘m just a blue-haired person with purple lips. SIGH.)

I let #xrecs fall by the wayside, but this is a good day to revive it.

MAGNETO TESTAMENT isn't a superhero story. It's a Holocaust narrative, and it's brutal. If you only ever read one X-Men comic, it should be this one.

The afterward also points out that for too many people, Magneto's backstory is their first exposure to the Holocaust. That's fucked up. Talk to your kids. Talk to their teachers about their curriculum. Make sure they know.

I've read Magneto Testament many times over the years and each time it brings me to tears. So great, so powerful. It's essential to any #XMen fan or comic fan in general.

Re-reading House of M for the first time in years. It is so good! Bendis was really on point back then. I loved that when everyone woke up after "the event", and had the life they wanted, Kitty Pride was an elementary school teacher in Cincinnati. ?

Comic book covers gives me #warmfuzzies. That bright, saturated color is joyously delicious #eyecandy that cannot be passed over like old shoes at a yard sale. Thanks @Snikt6 for introducing me to the world of comics 14 years ago and for helping me #findarainbow ! 😘
