Enjoy!
This is a fun collection! I really appreciated that it had stories from all over the Asian world—even as far west as Iraq and Turkey. There is a variety of styles (both art and writing) and of tale types. Some were familiar, either because they are similar to the Western tales I know better or because I‘d read them before, and many were unfamiliar. I did feel like it petered out at the end, getting quite dark and finishing inconclusively.
I love Kate Ashwin so much 😂
Loved this collection of folktales that originated in various countries in Asia. It was fun seeing each artist's take on old stories. I do wish there was a little context included for some of the stories. This would be an excellent companion piece for anyone studying any of this folklore. #Asia #Folklore #Comic
5/5 for the last in this trilogy! The end to this trilogy was so awesome! I was on the edge of my seat. There were tears though and some laughing. I highly recommend this series.
5/5 for the second in this trilogy. This book was just as good as the first one. I still have such love for these characters. I love the story. I cannot wait to read the next one.
“I‘ll find you,” he murmured. “I promise, Yumeko. No matter how long it takes, how far I have to travel, even if it takes me several lifetimes, I‘ll keep looking. My appearance might change, my name might be different, but you are the other half of my soul. It won‘t stop searching until it‘s found you again.”
