⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2
It's so satisfying, finding yourself enjoying a book you never intended to read, by an author you had decided was not for you. Oh the joy of expectations surpassed.
Part One of this book has this beautiful elegiac, end of summer, end of a friendship feel to it that I haven't seen replicated so perfectly in a novel before.
My only reasoning for not giving this the full 5-stars was for some awkwardness towards the end.
