I've only read 2 books in this series #outloud to my students, and by far, this edition is the funniest. It's about having space and accepting others. It has a touch of romance. Romance is hard to find in the pre-K to 3rd grade target range.

After a very sad day for Ky politics (the bill banning gender-affirming care for transgender youth plus “don‘t say gay” in school plus some other sh.. was passed), I needed retail therapy. My kid clients love the Penelope T.Rex books, & I do, too. Plus, Gwenda Bond‘s latest & the 3rd in Manda Collins‘ mystery/romance series.

Scochrane26 @Tamra They did have a part that banned mental health professionals from giving gender-affirming care, but we think they took it out. It‘s still confusing. But, as a therapist who has several teens with different gender identities, it‘s frustrating. I have a social work Board & ethical code, don‘t need the government telling what I can talk about in sessions. Not to mention the other parts of the bill. Lawmakers are so out of touch with schools. 2y
