The one-and-only Everett True puts a “food crank“ in his place.
I created an A-Z challenge that includes everything you could want in an A-Z challenge. This includes titles, authors, characters, items (on the covers), and a scavenger prompt.

If you have a Canva account, I also made a template to add all your books. That link will be in the comments because it's super long.

My husband has been wanting the Graham Ingles "Artist's Edition" from IDW for awhile. When he told me about it months ago, he casually added, "It's an oversized book". Cue my extreme shock on picking this thing up for his Christmas gift- where was I supposed to hide it?! Anyway, I managed to keep it under wraps through today, and here he is finally enjoying his prize. Oversized indeed! ?
A trifle too rough. #EverettTrue

This reminded me of “Someone‘s Killing the Children” & the Serial Killer convention in “Sandman”
Picture a town of evil clowns with a blowtorch, murderous puppet boyfriends, “Jigsaw” but less committed, koala-hat-wearing garden fanatic & someone who goes by the Fckmaster.
Lotsa dead law enforcement, some Byzantine kills, an evil granny since we all have one.
This may be a one-off Dark Horse series. Sad if so. I‘d keep following the storyline.
Terrible.
I grew up watching ultra macho war movies, especially those set in Vietnam, so I am not against the genre. But this book tries to sell you the old tale of ‘war is hell‘ plus revenge today for a crime in the past. But the reveal of what the retribution is for, left me hollow inside. Once revealed, the heavily misogynistic themes of the story are understood to be the framework of the entire book, and not a villain to be rejected.
A soft pick. Combining the collected TPB Volumes 3 & 4 of the series, Volume 3 ramps up the stakes until Volume 4 really drops the ball. Volume 4 consisted of excellent historical re-imagingings of the past, and people standing around in the present. Intriguing characters are introduced, including Haitian revolutionary Toussaint L'Ouverture and M.O.V.E. activists, but all the characters coming together to face a new threat was not handled well.
Grateful to a Tumblr post for giving me enough nostalgia to seek out a Calvin &Hobbes collection from my local library. I gather this is a two book set sold in a single case when not part of a library collection, but for my purposes it was two books chock full of marvelous comics. There's something to be said for multiple strip - what I guess would have been multiple day in newspapers - story lines. 1/?
