This book grew on me. After reading it outloud 18 times to K-5, the points kids took from it were: it's true, they could relate to feeling invisible, and they wanted to know more about homeroom. But what they seemed to really enjoy was designing their own landscapes.

How far would you go to protect your loved ones? Suspenseful, page turner. The whole story takes place over a few days so you really feel like you‘re in the thick of it with these characters.

Funny story: I was talking to my husband about the premise of the book when I was just a couple of chapters in. He guessed the ending and I knew he was right so unfortunately, it wasn‘t a big twist for me. Next time, I won‘t be telling him a thing!! 🤣

It‘s been almost 7 months since my last book! I gave birth to my second daughter in May. So excited to start reading again after a long hiatus. These quiet mornings are lovely.

I think John Parra is an illustrator/author worthy to follow. I loved his book Green is a Chile Pepper. Nominated for the 2024 WCCPBA, I'll be reading the tagged book to all my students in the next school year. I'll let you know what they think! #WCCPBA #endpapers
