Families Grow | Dan Saks

Pickpick

This is a simplified book for children about pregnancies. From the belly growing in the mother vs in another‘s belly. It‘s nice to see some of the many types of new mothers. Some even show siblings. This is such a nice book written in basic rhymes for children to understand. I know some of my toddlers could use this as their parents are prepping for another baby.

These Hands | Hope Lynne Price

I miss this type of art in books. Story takes a small girl showing off the many things her hands can do. They can clap, help her grandmother, pray, play piano… there‘s so many wonderful things your hands can do. It‘s nice to see it simplified like this, alongside the short sentences with each picture.

This feels like one of those “how do dinosaurs say…” type books. But it gives a separate page for the child‘s promise to what the dragon may end up doing. That gives times for children to think what might happen next. It‘s a good book about the general rules about the level of respect in a library - which I sometimes worry is being lost.

We Want Names, Too! | Jean Leroy

Mehso-so

This is a cute book about the toes wanting their own names like the fingers on your hand. It‘s odd they are using the toes themselves to talk. The toes got through asking how about the names of the alphabet? No, then music notes? Nope. While funny, it doesn‘t keep attention much.

This is a really cute - larger print - book in the Little Blue Truck series. I really like how each page takes you closer to the Halloween costume party. From an autumn afternoon to driving through the dark to a large barn. The animal flips allow for questing what animal is dressed up there. They‘re all totally different costumes; clown, Queen, dragon, witch, etc. Good repetitive wording similar to the other series books. #classroombook

This is properly my favorite inclusion book. Let alone it being Sesame Street. Each page takes a moment to show pictures of a part of the body and it‘s different look. The next, how it‘s actually the same since it does the same for each of us. The whole book shows how important our differences are. How it‘s our strength.
I grew up on this show, so this makes me so happy to have

A very good simple Golden Book introduction to the 1987 TMNT group. The book is basically April with the shows intro song, in book form. There are larger font words with their names and other important terms. Like the technodrome and turtle glider. Also love how colorful it is. #tmnt #classroombook

Night Night, Groot | Brendan Deneen

In classic good night book style, Rocket encourages Baby Groot to fall asleep. By telling grantors of other Marvel hero‘s coming to keep him safe during the night. I like how it introduces new hero‘s and their basic powers. Like Moon Knight and Nova, as well as the Original 6. Be sure to look for a tiny Ant Man on every page

On the Moon (Revised) | Anna Milbourne

So someone who loves space, I like being able to share with my classroom. This board book essentially takes the adventure of the first flight to land on the moon. The first of the Eagle Astronauts. I like how the pictures are so sleek. It‘s fun to put together the moon in the sky is this one in the book, those these toddlers can‘t wrap their minds around that quite yet.

My First Science Book | Matthew Oldham

This is a great basic and simple introduction book about science. Each page is designated to a different type of science; Earth, animal, your body, climate and weather. As well as a page of doing an experiment of sink v float. It‘s a book great for just pointing at stuff to get the vocabulary started. I love science and all how it invokes everything around us. Obviously my class enjoyed the animals and your body best
