I found 2 more music templates on Instagram where you choose your favorite songs by artists. I‘ve only heard a few songs by Oasis and Lana Del Rey but I‘ve liked them so these are my favorite songs by them.

I found these templates on Instagram for these artists and I chose my favorite songs by them. I struggled to choose songs I liked by BLACKPINK, Katy, Avril and Britney. I wanted to choose Thriller by Michael because I like that one but Instagram didn‘t have it. However, I liked the song I chose.

A very useful book; it explains in detail the functioning of our happy chemicals and how we can make the most out of them.

“When your happy chemicals droop, it feels like something is wrong with the world. It helps to know that your happy chemicals are meant to go up and down so you can focus on your next step toward happy chemicals instead of on the flaws of the world.“

IuliaC "Some people have no experience making themselves happy because they grew up in a world in which others took responsibility for their happiness. Some parents live to please their children and never please themselves. Their children learn to expect others to please them, and another generation learns to take unhappiness as a sign that others messed up instead of learning to please themselves." 1d
sarahbarnes Wow. Sounds like a thought-provoking book, especially based on that quote. 1d
IuliaC @sarahbarnes It explains the biology behind the happy/unhappy cycles our brain goes through, and it seems to make more sense than all the talk on achieving happiness in general 1d

I saw this template on Instagram and thought it would be fun to share it here. This is my favorite Linkin Park song. It‘s the first song that ever got me into Linkin Park. I heard my brother listening to them when he was a teenager and I was a little girl. I started listening to them after that. When I found out Chester (the lead singer) died, I started crying. I don‘t even listen to the music anymore because of it.

TieDyeDude I love that template! My younger brother was aware of them well before me. I remember finding “High voltage“ and “My December“ on Napster when they were only available as bonus tracks. And I really enjoyed the Jay-Z collab album. 5d
kelli7990 @TieDyeDude I liked the Jay-Z collaboration album too. 5d

Tons of interesting info. Self-help books are t my fave, so it was a bit too textbook-y for me. But I got some great takeaways from it.

1. She‘s Like The Wind - Patrick Swayze

2. You Give Love A Bad Name - Bon Jovi

3. Under Pressure - Queen

I was born in 1990 so I didn‘t hear any 80‘s songs until later on but the 80‘s had a lot of good songs. I couldn‘t decide what was my favorite but I like these songs.

The author of this book traveled to many different countries in order to speak with and interview people with unusual brain disorders. Like Sharon, whose world sometimes shifts and leaves her totally disoriented to the point where she gets lost. Or Graham, who was convinced he was dead. Or Joel, a doctor who feels the emotions of those around him and even physical sensations. The brain is a fascinating organ. Five stars.

Really liked "seeing into" the life of a neurosurgeon. Henry Marsh is aware of disasters and the triumphs in a neurosurgeons life and he reflects on how he has changed through his time in the profession.
Loved the wry humour in the essays.
