Here‘s my 2024 #spotifywrapped. I didn‘t want to wait until #tuesdaytunes to post this. I liked the music I listened to during January and February the most. I got Amazon‘s Echo Pop for Christmas and I bought 1 for Christmas during a Black Friday sale for my mom, my mom‘s boyfriend and my brother so they each have their own. I need to set it up so I can try it out. It‘s smaller than the Amazon Alexa speaker and it takes up less space.

I forgot to post the music I listened to one night before bed on Spotify for #tuesdaytunes so I‘m posting it on Weds instead. I listened to the cd by Clint Black because I own the CD but I‘m gonna get rid of it because I don‘t really care for the songs on it. I like his older music better. I skipped 3 songs because I wasn‘t in the mood for them: What Might Have Been, She‘s In Love With The Boy and Watermelon Crawl.

Mehso-so

I have mixed feelings about this book. The author admits in the new preface that many terms used are no longer generally accepted and many patient descriptors are far from nuanced. While his attempts to humanize individuals who society and medicine tend to disregard are admirable, most profiles are simply a collection of observations and anecdotes, rarely providing any professional or psychological analysis or interpretation.

TieDyeDude Maybe that is due to the lack of terms and diagnoses of the time, but, while I'm sure the intent was to show that individuals with mental differences are no less human than the general population, and he often succeeds in this portrayal, it also sometimes leads to a feeling of exploitation, IMO. Interesting and historically significant writing, but I'm sure there are more modern and less problematic books out there. 6d

Taylor Bradshaw released a digital discography of all of his albums available to download yesterday and I bought it. He said this in an email yesterday,”PS. Listening to those old demos last night had me cracking up—I can‘t believe I said some of those raunchy lyrics out loud 🤣”. Lol. I‘m looking forward to listening to the albums again.

Last weekend, I watched this livestream from Taylor Bradshaw on Facebook. He wanted to have a post Thanksgiving livestream to celebrate his Black Friday sale and just hang out with all of us for 1 hour. It was a livestream concert. He performed some of his songs and he had a Q&A portion of the livestream.

All I‘ve been listening to is Linkin Park. I found so much old concert footage on YouTube with Chester performing with the band and I‘m looking forward to watching it. I‘ve never seen them live. I‘ve only watched their Live In Texas DVD but it‘s made me want to watch their other concerts. I grew up listening to Linkin Park. I like their older music that they did with Chester better than their new music.

Yay! I just ordered this bundle of live albums from Taylor Bradshaw. He‘s an independent musician from NYC who makes folk music. I‘m so looking forward to this.

Pickpick

A low pick for me. Easy to read and digest but felt a bit surface level to me. A useful bullet point summary at the end which is super quick and easy to reference.

I was listening to Taylor Bradshaw‘s music all afternoon yesterday. I listened to the CD I ordered from him, streamed the album and watched the concert film. The bonus track is a cover song called “I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor” by Arctic Monkeys. Taylor Bradshaw is an independent folk musician from NYC. He doesn‘t have a record deal yet. I like all of his songs from the album but I think the cover song was my favorite.

TieDyeDude Thanks for sharing. I always love a good local band. You always hope for them to find success, but you also want to keep them close and pure 😋 2mo
