I really enjoyed reading this book. This is book one in the series. It had a lot of twists and turns in it. I couldn‘t put it down. This book grabs you from the very first page. I would recommend this book.

I picked this up because of Jenny Colvin. I can‘t remember if she was doing the episode where she was talking about a book on the Hutterites or one where she was talking about romance where she mentioned that there was a lot of Amish romance out there. So when I saw this on display I had to give it a try. It was wonderful and the balm my soul needed while dealing with the usual holiday craziness. 3 stories all loosely tied by a bake shop. I 👇🏼
Predictable, but I absolutely enjoyed this book. With a book like this, I‘m not really expecting depth or complex characters…but it was sweet and maybe a bit spicy for an Amish romance novel (don‘t expect too much though 😂)!
Is it weird that I could care less about the main characters in every book in this series (sans #10 when they have their own love story) because I simply love Anna and Felty, the grandparents, more? Ga, they are just the funniest, sweetest, matchmakers who will stop at nothing to help their kin find love. Even if the way they try tends to always go wrong at some point.
I received this book from Librarything and Revell for a honest review. This is my own opinions. I loved this book more than the first book. I love the characters more in this book. They grew so much more!!! I rated this book a 3 out of 5 stars. Book 2 finished for #JoysofJune @Andrew65
This book got on my nerves somewhat. I felt like the main character was childish in a way. Letting things that happen to her when she was child affect her. I rated this book a 3 out of 5 stars.

It's been awhile since i read a Amish Fiction Novel by Suzanne Woods Fisher so i kind of knew what to expect even tho i didnt totally know what the story would be about even tho i knew it was set in Lancaster County PA. The Characters were so fun and interesting to read about. Lyndie was definately my favorite since she tried her hardest to be punctual despite having ADHD.

It's not easy being the bishop's daughter, especially for Lydie Stoltzfus. She's not like other Amish girls, as much as she wishes she were. The only thing she does well is disappoint others. Leaving her family and church seems unbearable, but staying might be worse.
Knowing Lydie is "between" jobs, the local doctor asks her to fill in at the front desk for a few months.

Thank you to LibraryThing and Revell for picking me to win this FREE ARC COPY in a giveaway on Librarything, com last year!! This was my first time reading a Contemporary Fiction Book/Series by Shelley Shepard Gray so i wasnt sure what to expect but i have to say i throughly enjoyed it. It reminded me alot of Wanda E Brunstetter's Half Stitch Quilting Club but without the craft aspect to it.
