The regular characters are nice people. Mutt the half wolf dog plays an important part in entire series. Winter is cold in Alaska, bringing the residents closer. How many will die before the killer is captured? 4⭐️

pickI‘m glad I didn‘t bail, almost did a few times.There are 5+ characters who are connected,2 timelines,the story is only told through diary entries,letters or newspaper articles. It‘s a bit boring at the beginning & Sophie&Allen‘s love declarations for one another are a bit too saccharine.I‘m also normally not a fantasy/magical realism fan but this worked for me because the “fantasy elements” were taken from
“How will I stop loving him, Mama? Will I .... forget ?”
Mama sighed.

I finished this Friday for #FictionalTraveler January #SomeplaceCold 🧊❄️While it wasn‘t winter in Alaska, there were storms, caves, mine shafts & icehouses that were pretty chilly. This is Book 6 in the Alaska Wild series & while a big plot point was settled & the end was left a bit ambiguous, I‘m hoping the author will continue with this series as I love the characters & the small-town Alaska setting.
