Two old women was an excellent story passed down from generation to generation. A short fast paced book. 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I‘m posting one book a day from my massive collection. No description, no reason for why I want to read it.

The risk and costs of a climbing adventure gone wrong in a remote Alaskan mountain range for 2 climbing couples. Unfortunate but interesting.

My #bookspin this month was a historical fiction about the exploration of the Wolverine River through Alaska, the first successful trip by white men.
While the exploration part was interesting, I preferred the other part of the story is about Sophie, the wife of the lead explorer. She is left behind near Seattle, and finds a new interest in photography of birds and nature, in the days when the art of photography was new.

This is another novel in the Kate Shugak series which takes place in Alaska. The story has Kate assisting Troop Jim Chopin in solving a mysterious death. The park residents are involved along with the four “aunties.” 4/5⭐️
This is another novel in Stabenow‘s Kate Shugak series. The story takes place in Alaska. Kate is a native Aleut who is a private investigator. Kate has a half dog/half wolf companion named Mutt. They are a team who are out to find answers to the current situation. There have been murders. Kate and Alaska State Trooper Jim Chopin are there to solve the crime. There are lots of different characters to love or hate. 4/5⭐️

I liked the first book in this series enough to buy this one and I think I liked this one more. It takes up where City Under One Roof ends and we get to spend more time with characters, especially Ellie, I liked from the first book; the narrator/voice for Ellie is the best, reminding me a bit of Mags Bennett from Justified.
Kate Shugak has disappeared from her home. Her family and friends are very concerned as this is not something Kate would do. Alaska State Trooper Jim Chopin is a friend and he is searching for her when he is sent to Bering to work undercover. He unexpectedly finds Kate there. There is Jim‘s undercover job and a huge mystery to solve. This is book ten in the series and a less emotional than number nine. A good story. 4/5⭐️
