Pickpick

FINALLY got around to reading this classic. A quick read that offers us a glimpse into the life of the #DeepSouth in Alabama. A reminder of how much has not changed at its core. #TomRobinson #DueProcess #RacismInTheUSA #TKAM

Only joined Litsy 5/6 weeks ago so have read and loved plenty of books before joining but To Kill a Mockingbird was the first book I read where I completely fell in love with both the characters and the setting. It has stayed with me all this time (I read it when I was 14 and I'm now 41) and is one book I could go back to again and again.

Songbird72 I read this in high school English. A great book. 7y
MidnightBookGirl Welcome to Litsy! I think I was the same age when I first read it (and then fell in love with the movie), and I still love it at 40 (although I don't think I can read Go Set a Watchman). 7y
ShookBelf I read when it came out and was so bitterly disappointed. Really not a patch on Mockingbird and although it didn't spoil my love for that book, I certainly wasn't pleased that I'd wasted a few days reading it! 7y
