#SpookyOctober #TakesPlaceNearMe

Hans Tuzzi writes historical mystery novels set in the early 1900s. Some, like this one, are set in the 1920s, so of course this goes straight in my TBR 😆

BellaBookNook The cover is fantastic! 7y
JazzFeathers @BellaBookNook Yes it is. That's what furst cought my attention. Then thr time, the 1920s. Then the setting, Egypt. I'm going to read this 😀 7y

#SpookyOctober #TakesPlaceNearMe

This takes place really near to me, since these stories take place in the Pianura Padana. These are somber, kind of sad story, like the mist of this place.
This became a TV series years ago

#SpookyOctober #TakesPlaceNearMe

The history of these two authors (man and wife) is very strange. They published heir first book in ltaly, but the publisher (the most important here) made the book as out of print after selling only few copies. The author found a new publisher in Nedtherland and since then, they have been publishing abroad to be published here in ltaly only later and as if 'translated'.
Yes, l know. It's a strange story...

This is another very harsh story, one that l don't know whether l feel like reading. But l know it's a very good novel... and honestly that cover...

In fact these stories take place not very far from me, in Milano.
And hey, don't you think this also fits the #BlackAndWhite prompt?

#SpookyOctober #TakesPlaceNearMe

This series has been so successfull that last year it became a TV series. Alice Allevi is a coroner in Rome. She's young and bold and anbitious and she likes playing detective, even if that's not her rule.
She's also divided between the love of two very different men.
It's fun.

#SpookyOctober #TakesPlaceNearMe

I haven't read Donato Carrisi yet, though he's extremely popular here in ltaly. He's a hard writer, l understand, and l mean that he writes hard stories. But l think sooner or later l'll cave in all the same 😊

#SpookyOctober #TakesPlaceNearMe

This is a new one and sounds pretty awesome. A journals who had a love affari with a novelist years ago, learns of the man mysterious disappearance.
A few days before, she received some pages from him, after years of silence. There's the story of a dark secret from the past, but... is this the novelist's new story or is this a confession?

Three Dog Night | Elsebeth Egholm

Elsebeth Egholm is the Danish Queen of Crime (or so I have heard, I haven't read her books). She primarily writes books set in Jutland, which is the part of Denmark where I live, and a lot of her books are set in Aarhus, which is the city I live in and the "capitol" of Jutland. #takesplacenearme ?
