Book 37 of 2025! This book did not need to be 539 pages long, but I still enjoyed this dark M/M romance from Rina Kent. Not the best writing in the world, but somehow I still got sucked in to the story. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The first one of the series… I would say this book is addictive in the sense that once you‘ve finished one chapter, you want to quickly get through the next one. The book overall leans heavy on drama, obsession, and emotional tension ❄️🩵

There was a cupcake decorating program the other day at the library, and we were lucky enough to get all the extras! 🤤🧁 They were almost too pretty to eat! Well, ALMOST! 🤭

I know these books are toxic AF, but like God of Fury, I ATE THIS UP. Recently these have been the books that I don‘t want to put down, that I need to finish. I don‘t know what it is about them, but I LIVE FOR IT.
Kiss the Villain loses a star for some slight unfinished plot points, but I finished it in 24 hours, so I won‘t complain.
And with this book, the Goodreads Reading Challenge has been reached!

There is not much I can say without putting in spoilers. However, the plot twists were evident from a hundred miles away. The main characters were cringy and controlling. The main dude apparently is perfect but cold and has a perfect memory. Apparently us as the reader do not have a perfect memory because it was stated at least once per chapter, sometimes more. I would hate to be treated the way the main lady was treated as a person. Ugh, sunshine

I‘m not usually a fan of slow-burn, but this one worked for me and kept me coming back to the story.
🌶 was just right!
Looking forward to reading more from this author.
