(Not sure how to attach a photo in Canva) but for my next #Book20 read I got a nat20. That means my next book is Haunted by Chuck Palahniuk. I didn't expect to be jumping back into horror but I'm sure it will still be refreshing.

Progress:
Overall a slow week reading, even if I stayed on track for daily readings. I finished The Martian! That was pretty great. I started another Silvia Moreno-Garcia novel and am already loving it.
I can't wait for my hand to heal so I can read in bed again.

📙Lord of The Necropolis - Reading before bed.
🎧Night of the Hunter - From time to time.
Progress:
I had a pretty bad week reading and in general, but I hope next week will go better. I intend to finish ACoK by tomorrow and pick TGE back up and have a good chunk of it read during the week, on top of LotN.
Great collection of cursed magical items for the ravenloft dnd setting!

📕 The Summer Dragon - 2 Chapters a day.

📚 Progress:
Been making steady progress on all three this week, some days better than others. Will continue to do the same next week.
Read a bit of this again today and as much as I'm enjoying this novel, I am waiting for a specific character to show up and he still hasn't shown up yet.
(1991) A vampire elf confronts another vampire over his lost love. Purpose is really to establish the character of Strahd von Zarovich for the Ravenloft role-playing world. I probably would have enjoyed this a lot more thirty years ago; at this age it just seems by-the-numbers and uninspired. But I'm glad that I finally got around to it cause now I know. This is my #TripleSpin for April, just under the wire.
This was the author's first book and it was written in the nineties. Having said that....
What I Liked
*Dark atmosphere;
*Strahd's brother Sergey and damsel Tatyana; and
*Ravenloft itself, the best gothic fantasy world out there.
What I Didn't Like
*Inconsequential supporting characters;
*Little to no character development;
*NO TENSION, the greatest sin;
*Jander, a too emo vampire main character 🙄
