The Snow Tree | Caroline Repchuk, Josephine Martin
post image

I spent hours out in the cold and snow today filling our library‘s new StoryWalk with the tagged book for the town‘s Holiday Festival this Saturday.

It‘s one of my favorite seasonal picture books. It briefly references “Christmastime” but it‘s otherwise just a nature-filled gem of a story (with dreamy, textured pages).

I guess it was worth the frozen fingers. And nose. And toes. 🥶

monalyisha Oh, hey #Naturalitsy. I unintentionally participated in your prompt! 🙃 2w

The Bear who Shared | Catherine Rayner

The vocabulary in this book can be more educational for students that are younger. As well as there being bigger words throughout that describe certain things.

Pickpick

This book is a good identification of how students can share from the bear's perspective of giving to the other animals.

This book illustrates the beautiful bond between a mother and child showing that love can transcend distance.
