panI absolutely love Dracula, so this was a major disappointment.
The plot was incredibly hard to follow, characters just magically knew impossible things, and you don‘t even really find out much about the white worm or the lair!
I understand there was some racism at the time this was written, and it is no worse than that seen in books like Gone with the Wind, but the character added nothing to the story. It‘s all very odd...

rabbitprincess Yes, it's almost like a poorly done abridgment of a longer work! I'm almost finished on Serial Reader. On the plus side I can congratulate myself for finally reading a "scary" book ? 7y
