I liked that it showed different animals/environment throughout the book.
so-soI think this book would be good for maybe 1st grade. The repetition makes me want to keep it for lower grades. The pictures are amazing and engaging. However because of the repetition, it wouldn‘t be my first pick. However, I love the Thai representation.
“Fat pig, fat pig, don‘t come sniffling. Can‘t you see that baby‘s sleeping?”
I think this book would be great to read to your child before bedtime!
pickThis book is a children‘s literature piece that is considered to be a picture book. I really enjoyed this book and I would read this to kindergarten age children. The rhyme scheme is very simple and is very enjoyable to listen to. The story develops well and at the end you can see that the mother is able to put all of the animals asleep because of her rhymes.
