pickI enjoyed participating in the #LWReadalong! This was a book I always meant to reread since I read an abridged copy back in elementary school. It's a little funny that I think I had an abridged interpretation of it as well. Reading this as an adult, I understood both more and less of the story and the characters telling it. Similarly, the telling can feel both dated and timeless. No matter your views, this sweet little book is worth reading.
With this little volume finished today for the #HPChapterADay, it‘s time to turn another page in my new (& hopefully improved) reading journal. I‘m still working my way through What Happened, and I didn‘t even start The Princess Saves Herself poetry book, but tomorrow starts another week, and with a few of my buddy reads wrapping up maybe I can finish up some others on my TBR pile. I‘ll miss #TheNixBuddyRead and #LWReadAlong though, great groups!
Finished another 500-page classic! (And it sure beat my last one: Moby Dick 🙄) It was a first-time read for me and I really enjoyed hanging out with the March family. So much so, I've collected the movies and book sequels to continue the party. Thanks @suvata for hosting the #LWReadalong and getting me hooked on another classic author. And thx to Alcott for helping pave the way for more amazing female authors in the literature world. 🙌🏻

pickA sweet classic that I had never read before, and enjoyed reading with a group. There were a few twists I didn‘t expect, but I felt at peace with the ending anyhow. I can easily see why this classic was, and still is, a favorite story of many little women through the years.
