A wonderful book for kids and grown ups which explains the meaning of the cross with simple language and expressive pictures. We love it and read it every year around Easter!

Adam & Eve | Sena Jeter Naslund

I picked this up at Goodwill on a whim; little did I suspect how utterly bonkers it would be. The plot sounds like Dan Brown or Michael Crichton--a secret society of the faithful seek to suppress proof of extraterrestrial life AND a newly found version of Genesis. Lucy & the evidence crash land in a fantastical Eden near Baghdad--& there's a naked guy named Adam there. Literary style with a wild, occasionally gruesome, consistently startling plot.

Decalino I rated it a pick because it wasn't boring and it wasn't bad--I don't really know what it was! I can't really imagine recommending it to anyone though. 8mo

I received this book in Librarything Early Member Giveaway for December 2022. I received this book to give my own opinions and thoughts of the book. This book is in the category of Biblical Fiction. It is the story of Adam and Eve. I did find the book interesting and I really liked how the author developed the storytelling of the book. I rated this book a 3 out of 5 stars.

We loved this book! The illustrations are beautiful and it is the perfect way to explain the Easter story. My daughter loves it so much that she wants me to videotape her reading it and send it to her little cousins ❤️

this book felt awfully redundant. it had some nice points, but overall, not worth the time.

I think the material would be good but with the way it's written I found it really difficult to follow for some reason. Kinda felt like a jumbledess, to be honest.

I actually really enjoyed reading this weirdly interesting twist on the Garden of Eden! YA fantasy and paranormal are some of my favorites so it was fun to see how the author took a Bible story and turned it into such a unique adventure!

I was a huge fan of I Dream of Jeannie, but this memoir really didn‘t make me a bigger fan of Barbara Eden. Some of the behind-the-scenes glimpses and name-drops are interesting (especially her interactions with Lucille Ball) but there wasn‘t much emotional resonance here.

Daughter of Eden | Chris Beckett

The final part of the trilogy. Beckett for me is the best sci-fi writer currently around. He's created this incredible world exploring how stories, civilisations and religions form and its full of drama. The first half I wasn't sure where the story was heading but then... wow! It was a fantastic ending to the trilogy. I won't forget the world of Eden.
