What could be better than going with my daughter to listen to my husband play with a jazz singer in a venue selling books? It was in celebration of African American history month. Fun! 😄 My daughter got to chat with the singer about SZA & Lamar, so it was a win for her.
Starting my climb up #MtCookbook with homemade tortillas from the Farmhouse cookbook. Not bad for my first attempt.
Made crab cakes for the very first time! I‘ve got a couple things I need to fix next time I try, but overall, very tasty!

Another tasty DELICIOUS TONIGHT recipe that isn‘t remotely the same colour as the example picture. Oh well. The lentils in this soup cooked down beautifully and the overall flavour is great—which is a relief, because the recipe made a TON of it. That‘s my supper sorted through the weekend.
This book has a lot of practical hands on ideas inside, which lead me to making a few things, including rich Esbat biscuits everyone here loved. I‘ll return to some recipes when the weather calms it self down to acceptable temperatures.
