#BookMail Pt16 I couldn‘t resist starting this, soon as I received it in the #MailPileOfDoom Another Supernatural/Horror novel, the basic story is 4 horror writers are persuaded to spend Halloween night in a haunted house in Kansas by an internet entrepreneur.Creepiness ensues.I enjoyed this, it‘s not what you think & the story turns a few times before the end.Reminds me of Kings‘ Pet Sematery. #Pop19 #AGhostStory #ReadHarder2019 #SelfPublishedBook

Absolutely loved this book - not at all what I was expecting. The no-first-name protagonist, the menacing presence of the dead wife, the imposing residence, which became a character all of its own, and the cold, aloof husband - the atmosphere the story creates is chilling and the descriptive language used to characterise Manderley, its grounds and the psychological distress our protagonist endures is breathtaking. #AtY #aghoststory

Silvertongue I can‘t get over that the protagonist was never named! DuMaurier is sheer genius! 7y
