Need to skim the last 130ish pgs of this in the next hour to be ready for book club, but I'm going to go ahead & give it a so-so, is generous. I've skimmed most of it, which is one reason I can't pan it in good conscience, but I also value the histories of ordinary people, and diaries and old pictures are fascinating, so I admire the intention of this book. Unfortunately it ends up being rather boring, in spite of being about an interesting woman.
