Object of My Affection | Stephen McCauley

Got to thinking about this book after seeing everyone's made into movies posts. This mediocre (imo) book was turned into a sweet, funny movie with Jennifer Anniston and Paul Rudd as Nina and George. I'd hardly recommend it as a queer read or watch (Latter Days is MUCH better for that) but it's a great story about the ways we not just define family, but also create it.

LauraBrook I used to love this movie, kept watching it practically on a loop in college! Think I'll have to watch it again soon. Will look for the book next time I'm at the library and give it a shot. ☺️ 8y
minkyb Granted, I read this long ago but I remember liking McCauley's work. Even though I love Paul Rudd I don't think the movie did anything for me lol. 8y
