When I first saw the title of this book I stated it can‘t be MY Soap Lake, a tiny town 6 miles from where I lived 1st thru 7th grades, but it is. This book is quirky and suspenseful told thru two timelines. It also sent me down a rabbit hole about its history and its healing waters which I don‘t recall learning about in school. Fun read! 4.25 🌟

Ruthiella What a neat connection! It‘s rare, but occasionally I have also read books set where I grew up and it‘s a trip to recognize streets and landmarks. 2d

“A lake with mysterious properties.

A town haunted by urban legend.

Two women whose lives intersect in terrifying ways.

Welcome to Soap Lake, a town to rival Twin Peaks and Stephen King‘s Castle Rock.”

Deblovestoread I can‘t wait to read this! I grew up in the next town over and couldn‘t believe it was the setting for a book. We use to swim in Soap Lake and it‘s the weirdest body of water I‘ve ever swam in. 2w
