This book is what romance novels looked like in the 20s. You'll find no "good parts" here beyond the occasional passionate kiss. The men are alpha, the women are a mix of spunk & traditional femininity. As usual in Emilie Loring, the enjoyment level is marred by the occasional racism & xenophobia. If you can overlook that, this along with her other works are entertaining, especially if you're looking at them for their historical interest.
