In a few hours I will hate my alarm clock but I needed to finish this today.

The story gripped me. Couldn‘t put the book down. The special forces, the radio – yeah, that was a real good mix. (Especially the old lady at the letterbox.)

But: As usual there were a bit too many turnarounds on the last 60-80 pages to take it all “serious”. Nevertheless, I liked the letter the book ends with.

All in all I recommend the book. Good entertainment.

A typical Fitzek so far.
Which is not negative.

He begins to weave his web of illusion and reality. Suspenseful.

Nice.

I read the prologue before we made a sick bed visit. Yes, this seems to have the ingredients for a good Fitzek.

But I think I will put my gauntlets on before I continue reading now. It‘s a bit too nippy for my taste. I‘m curious to see if they do the trick or if I need to put on a cardigan instead.

Don‘t feel much like reading a the moment – so much worrying stuff going on in my life those last weeks that I simply lack concentration.

But my audiobook didn‘t stream properly either, so my significant other persuaded me to give this one a try. And yeah, the blurb rose my reading interest:

A psychologist who wants to commit suicide is called to end a hostage-taking drama in a radio station where the listeners shall play for the hostages lives.

Sometimes my habit of reading yesterday‘s newspaper on the other day saves me. 😁 My significant other gave me the tagged book as a present before we flew on vacation but I haven‘t read it yet.

I don‘t like to watch films made of books before I read the books. And in this case I remember how bad the film was that this same broadcasting station made of „Das Joshua Profil“. So it was a perfect to have kept on reading „The Bell Jar“ yesterday. 😅

Moony Same here. 6y

Das hab ich vor Reiseantritt auch noch bekommen. ?

Das werde ich allerdings „strategisch“ lesen müssen, denn ich weiß ja, einmal damit angefangen, werde ich es nicht mehr/nur schwer wieder weglegen können. ?
