#1 New York Times bestselling author Lisa Jackson puts a sexy, twisty, gender-reversed spin on Fatal Attraction in this addictive tale of escalating obsession, betrayal, and violent delights for readers of Peter Swanson, Allison Brennan, Carola Lovering and Stacy Willingham. He swore hed never let her go. She should have believed him. Brooke Harmon is ready to end her brief affair. Gideon Ross is charming and sexy, but hes not worth throwing away everything she holds dear. So she breaks it off, hoping Gideon will understand. He doesnt. Gideon insists that he and Brooke are meant to be together. Finally, he backs off, but not before issuing a promise: hell never let her go. Little more than a year later, Brooke wants to believe its all behind her. Her family has survived intact. Gideon has vanished. But the fear hasnt disappeared. Brooke cant tell how much of it is paranoia, and how much is justified, but shes worried. And maybe shes right to be. Because Gideon is a man who keeps his promises . . .

I know this is supposed to be a scary scene, like OMG the stalker is impersonating people to get close to Brooke (she had a fling with him but broke it off when her husband moved back in), but all I can think is, "What, you thought a guy living in a sailboat was rich? Maybe he isn't a stalker, maybe he's just broke!" ?

Mehso-so

A “gender-reverse spin” on Fatal Attraction. It got old Brooke not telling anyone what was happening. I‘d think your family‘s lives are more important than keeping an affair secret. It was a little repetitive &I felt some storylines were pointless. Brooke made some odd decisions 2 that were clearly there 2 create more story but made her seem dumb.
But Jackson did a great job at creating an unsettling atmosphere, heightened by the Seattle backdrop.
