Massacre at Fall Creek | 
pickI picked this up on a whim at a library sale, and I'm glad I did. West did a good job presenting the issue of the massacre from the different viewpoints of the characters, and that keeps the story interesting. The sites of the actual events that inspired this story are within a reasonable drive, so the local history aspect captivated me, too.
