This felt derivative and the ending was incredibly rushed. There were a few twists but they were fairly unsubtle and easily guessed at. Readers looking for a Hunger Games like novel might like this one. I did not. Full review at http://booknaround.blogspot.com/2024/09/review-this-great-hemisphere-by-mateo.ht...

In a take on The Invisible Man, it‘s 600 years in the future and black people are invisible and oppressed in society. Cool premise with some good characters, but I found it overly long and draggy in places. By the end I was completely checked out. I also found it depressing that the author‘s vision of 600 years from now shows us having not only not made any progress on racism but backsliding badly.
