Mehso-so

This is a sliding door thriller where, in one timeline, Jane chooses not to pick up her sister Esme during a rainstorm, and Esme goes missing; in the other, she does, and discovered that Esme‘s keeping secrets. Even with the cool concept, the fraught relationships, and the twists, this book was…kinda boring. The alternating chapters also made it hard to keep each storyline straight. This had a lot of potential, but not great execution. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Mehso-so

Jane and her sister Esme have always had a difficult relationship. When Esme calls Jane to pick her up in a blinding rainstorm, she either goes to pick her up or she doesn‘t, told in alternating chapters. This leads to two different stories of what happens. Throw in the abusive father, the mother with dementia, the high school boyfriend and the soon to be ex husband and well…not much interesting actually happens!

Pickpick

Brilliant novel about two sisters, Jane and Esme. In one scenario they are in the present and Esme calls Jane to rescue her; in the second Esme has been missing for 36 hours. When the two worlds collide we are in for great surprises and revelations that are shock-worthy! Love her books and this was a 5 🌟 for me!
