There was a small chunk of this (the part featuring cult leader Jane) where I was a lot less scared than I should have been.
Grateful for King of the Hill, always.

Mamas, hold your coven close. 🖤
True horror. Death, blood, vomit, dirt, bugs…and no happy endings. But that doesn‘t mean the ending wasn‘t satisfying.
Still, I‘d take less blood, vomit, dirt, and bugs, please! 😅 As it turns out, true horror‘s not really my thing. But I kind of knew that. I‘m more of a camp/comedy-horror kinda gal. Still, it‘s good to try something new every once in a while!
A fast read. Low pick.

I liked this. A female rage story. Nicole and Steve Warby move back to his hometown and join the Lilian Church. When Nicole asks to be on the church council which has only be filled by men, it starts off this chasm of centuries retribution of what the men, especially the priest, call the witch of the woods surrounding the church. This was how everyone needs a villain, I‘m just always shocked when men choose women to be theirs. This was great.

This was just a random audiobook pick for me based on the title and the cover.
I enjoyed the small town setting and the suspense surrounding what was hidden in the woods. Unfortunately, the big twist/reveal wasn't as great as the build-up.

This is a pitch perfect. Small town, small minded religious with horror. Could not have come to a better end.
Supernatural but not full witch-y stereotypes. Was the kind of witch horror I have been looking for, for a long time
