The Quiet Mother and the Noisy Little Boy | 
pickI didn't even know there was a text equivalent to the Caldecott Medal, much less that it's named in honor of this author and editor! A number of her books were re-issued with new illustrations, this being one of them - if it were not for the second child, these illustrations would sit anywhere between the original 1953 and the actual 1989 they were drawn in. But it's a nice story, if a little dated in some ways.
