Read this book in Nelson BC where the series takes place. Visited many of the small towns she refers to in the books. This made the story especially good for me. Love Lane Winslow.

I‘m officially caught up in the Lane Winslow series and waiting for the next book to be published in May!

This one has Lane learning about the indigenous people in Canada and some of their customs. It has people being prejudice about Italians and trying to run them out of town. It has some budding romances and solving a cold case.

It‘s a mark of a good author, in my humble opinion, that keeps me buying each 400+ page book in a mystery series that is now nine books and counting. I have come to adore Lane Winslow and the characters I‘ve met in King‘s Cove. Just a brilliantly and thoughtfully written whodunnit series.

Jess_Read_This @robinb Me too. She‘s an author I immediately preorder when I see the option available! 3y
MrsK Read your review and placed the 1st book in the series on my wishlist. If someone in the family doesn‘t get it for me I‘ll just have to do it myself! 3y

Jess_Read_This @MrsK I hope you love the series as much as I do! The first is probably my favorite. It made me wish to rent a cabin for a month in Vancouver. One day maybe. When you get a chance to read it, please let me know your thoughts! 3y
batsy I have not heard of this series! Your review makes me want to seek it out. And I love the cover. 3y
Jess_Read_This @batsy I hope you enjoy the series! I think it approaches “cozy” without crossing the line, if that makes sense? Whishaw also doesn‘t skirt around problematic portions of history post WW2 which I appreciated. The mystery is usually layered with character development in which we see them trying to get on with their lives and routines. I also enjoyed reading about the passing seasons and locations in the series. 3y
