A cute Shakespearean inspired YA contemporary with a neurodivergent female protagonist. There is some hyperbole in the plot that creates some over-the-top drama, but it leads to a quirky & entertaining read. The characters are well-written & the story arc moves well, with a good slow burn teen romance. There may be a few missteps in how Bea is encouraged to grow & change (by both her parents & friends), but the result is a good coming-of-age tale.

Got some quality time in with my newest reading partner tonight and finished this super cute contemporary YA romance about a homeschooled genius whose parents task her with getting out of her comfort zone at Shakespeare camp before they let her go abroad for college. I loved Beatrice and watching her grow was so heartwarming!

This was such a cute and fun read! The fact that she would step out of her comfort zone, but then step back in, then push herself out again was much more realistic than just doing a 180. And the Shakespeare Quote Off? Love!
