Book #44
Self-Love for Women | Forrest Porter

The book is filled with good information, well written, but it could use pauses for our brains to breathe at the beginning. It may be overwhelming for some. The book helps you find answers, confidence and feel at ease, there are tools for us to manage and put to practice improving our self-esteem, which helps us manage our stress. Overall, I think the intention of the book is a good one. MORE ⬇

JudeCC The author wants to help and provide the reader with tools to help us cope with our emotions. That‘s perfect and commendable. For better results the readers need to do their part.
Love the way the author talks to the reader through questions. What would happen if we act in a way or another. Why? Because when we pick up a book like this to read, we want to feel empowered, and not be reminded every single time about our flaws. MORE ⬇

JudeCC About things that stress us out. We want to read positive input. We want to know what exercises are good for us to put into practice. We want guidance and a pat on our shoulders along the way. This book checks every box without sugarcoating things. Don‘t worry, with practice and consistency you‘ll get there. This is how it works. Short and realistic goals. Keep trying!
A book that‘s our cheerleader along the way. MORE ⬇

JudeCC As we dig deep into the book, it becomes more positive. It empowers us more and more as we keep on reading, which is good. I really liked the chapter: Law of Attraction.
After that it focuses more on fashion and physique. Self-care.
Then it talks about the importance of meditating and its benefits. I also enjoyed that one. MORE ⬇

JudeCC I didn‘t like the example of the bar though, to put all the things we learned in the book together, which connects with the beginning. It may be me. Others may like it.

I think the best part of the book is also the checklist at the end. It should be printed out or written on a piece of paper and kept in a place you frequently see, like on the fridge to remind you what you just learned. It‘s really helpful. MORE ⬇

JudeCC In the end I recommend the book. There‘s valuable information that will help you, if you put in the work. You need to put in the work to see results.

Overall, an interesting read with good advice and a priceless check list at the end for you to empower yourself every day.
