Wildlife (Trespass collection)
Wildlife (Trespass collection) | Jeff VanderMeer
1 post | 4 read | 2 to read
Nature offers sanctuary for a woman with a violent past. But anything can happen when borderlands are crossed in a short story about the menace next door by a New York Times bestselling author.
Sam has retreated to her late father’s rental house, a safe place to commune with the animals in the greenbelt out back, tend to her garden, and keep her secrets. Her sense of security slowly returns—until an aggressive neighbor from the other side of the ravine fells a tree on her property. How little he regards nature. Or understands its darkness. How little he knows Sam.
Jeff VanderMeer’s Wildlife is part of Trespass, a collection of wild stories about animal instincts, human folly, and survival from award-winning, bestselling authors. Read or listen to each in a single sitting.

Trying this short story today.

🤞 because I wasn't especially fond of Annihilation. I'm just finishing up various reads I have via Amazon before I get rid of my Kindle.... Plus my Prime subscription has all year to run so I will access the occasional amazon read until it expires.

Cathythoughts I did like Annihilation. Stacking this short story 👍🏻❤️ 1w
Balibee146 @Cathythoughts I think you might enjoy this then and it is beautifully written. 1w
AnnCrystal Never had Prime or Kindle, yet we were once upon a time addicted to ordering from Amazon. It felt like the, The Jetsons...magically order and it arrives at your door 😂. We gave up all mail ordering back in 2019/20. Became more committed to buying only in person and locally. 5d
