Had breakfast at a new to me spot in the city. Finished up this book I‘ve been working on here and there over the summer. It was good, not great, for me. This is a feminist commentary on famous Chilean women murderers. 4 women, their crimes, and punishments for said crimes are covered. I felt like the translation was one reason I didn‘t connect as well with the book and it failed to keep my attention for long. Love the subject; pick for it.

âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸ WOW! A great narrative, a beautiful translation and an impactful and thought-provoking read. Describes four murders committed by women in Chile in the 20th century. The crimes themselves are horrific but Alia Trabucco Zerán will also guide you through the narrative that accompanied them due to the gender of the perpetrators. Highly recommended!
Superb creative non-fiction book about 4 Chilean murderesses! An outstanding addition to feminist and South American literature, Trabucco Zerán blends true crime, philosophical essay, and research diary. I waited what seemed like forever for this book to come out from an indie press and gobbled it up! This is a MUST-READ!!!
