pickThis was almost a so-so for me. I liked the MC Fran, but it took so long to get to the romance part of the book. I did appreciate it was about more than that but I was annoyed with Fran at times as she did things that made me second guess her professionalism as an assistant. I did enjoy most of it, but in the end I think I needed more guy time than I got

pickOn a Night Like This was a wonderful reminder of what happens when you let the magic in and possibilities flourish. With the intertwining theme of a modern day Cinderella, we get to see what happens if “today‘s” woman told Prince Charming she could handle herself and finally decided to give life a run for its money.

pickRead for book tour review this week. Complete frothy rom-com, but cute & sweet & funny & totally what I needed this week. A Cinderella-ish story about a woman stuck in small-town life who gets a temp gig “babysitting” a mega-star singer & getting her to the social event of the year. There‘s a swoony one-night romance but Seeing Fran grow & begin to blossom was the draw for me. A good escape book. Link to my review & fudgy brownie recipe pairing ⬇️
It was another crazy work week so I am spending Sunday as quietly as possible. Ordered delivery of my favorite Mexican Street Avocado Toast & a dirty chai oatmilk latte. Answered the #sundaybuddyread questions for “The History of Love” & now I‘m reading more of this rom-com for a review next week. It‘s a good Valentine‘s Day book & low effort for my tired brain.😵
