Another Agatha mystery. Once again she's risking her life to discover the truth of a killer, plus some mystery creatures and a paternity suit.

There's a lot going on in this story but it all comes together by the end. I love these mysteries, you can never be sure who might turn out to be the killer. The ending was wow, I knew there had to be one last bit and it came together perfectly. Another great read.

Agatha has a few cases to clear up in this one, with the discovery of a body at the beginning of the story. There is one pretty scary scene in this one which had me on the edge of my seat. Green‘s contribution to the series makes it feel like the Agatha Raisin series of old…so wonderful! And yay that Penelope Keith narrates this again!

This was probably one of M.C. Beatons most fast paced books, but it definitely kept me wanting to continue to read! A great story line where everything just seemed to fall into place so easily for everyone involved! Lots of unexpected twists in this book as well, compared to some of M.C Beatons other murder mysteries!

The horror of having an overdue library book 🥵 meets noticing your shoes kind of match the cover 🤩

Anyway - it‘s come off my card now so I can borrow my reserves and get myself to work 😫

But it‘s Friday so reading hours are ahead 🥳
