I really enjoyed this one! Frankie really is the bravest kid ever, and I enjoyed Bug‘s transformation from self-absorbed to empathetic pre-teen. Plus, the audiobook is narrated by Stockard Channing! ❤️

#BookSpinBingo for July! I‘ve already finished two (The Pants Project & So This Is Ever After), and just started listening to the tagged book (plus currently reading about four more on the board). It‘s narrated by Stockard Channing and my little Grease fangirl heart is happy. ❤️
This has been my work audiobook for the last week or so and it was absolutely fantastic. I am not a huge fan of Forman‘s YA novels, but she hit middle grade right out of the park! I‘d be thrilled if she returned to these characters again - Frankie and Bug are such big hearted kids that you can‘t help but cheer them on.
I like this new trend of historical fiction set in the ‘80s - I think it feels more accessible to middle grade readers.
I read 3 for #nonfictionNovember AND my #BookSpin AND my #DoubleSpin. Finished off with a middle grade and one of my favorite books of the year, The Man Who Died Twice, it‘s even better than the first one!

I really loved this book. I listened to the audiobook within a couple hours and it just made my heart happy. I loved how Bug accepted Frankie for who he was not what other people thought he should be. I also loved that they stood up for justice and inclusion for all.

Oh, I love these kiddos with my whole heart. Found family + fighting for justice + inclusion for all = major 😍 from me. #childrenslit
Received this in the mail today to read and review. Gayle Forman‘s first foray into middle grade and it looks so good!!!
