This review is only for Diary of a Madman - Started out hilarious and became incredibly sad towards the end. Never has something played with my emotions as deftly as this did, without once feeling manipulative, and achieved only through a change of tone. LauraBeth 😂 those can be the best kinds of books! 6y
Naj @LauraBeth True! I've read only two other short stories by Gogol; his writing is a brilliant mix of absurdity and realism. 6y
