I‘ve never read a book where I hated all the characters as much as this one. It was an ok read but I wasn‘t excited about the thriller aspects. It was pretty predictable on a broad level in my opinion. ⭐️⭐️

My library haul for today! Returned 2 books and picked up 3 🤷♀️ I'm excited for all of these! Which one should I read first?

This read like a very bad Lifetime movie. It‘s a slow burn that leads to nothing because I had already figured out the plot twist early on. If the audio performance hadn‘t been so good I would have bailed. I did love the character Dalton though. That‘s one plus. ⭐️💫
This book kept me reading today until I finished it! Fast paced and kept me guessing about the ending. A good way to start my New Year reading goals!

Cassie Woodson is obsessed...like hardcore stalker-mode. I believe her ideal partner would be Joe Goldberg (You) because her level of obsession is on par with his. In fact, this whole story felt a little too much like You...right up until the last quarter, and then it actually surprised me with the direction it went in. So kudos on the ending.
This is a classic stalker story with a pretty huge twist. For most of the book, I was going through the motions of reading, but the last quarter of this book, left me fulfilled for a story of this genre. If you like a good psychological thriller, this might hit the spot, but just know it has a pretty slow start with a fast finish.
This was my surprise indie book club pick for August. This is probably a case of me not the book. I don‘t typically like books with unreliable, stalkery female narrators and this one is no exception. I don‘t want to be stuck in her head for 300+ pages. I grabbed the audio to try to force my way through it for book club and made it 16% of the way. I just can‘t. Guess I‘ll skip book club this month. 🤷🏻♀️
I‘m bordering on a so-so with this one, but overall, I did really enjoy it. This was a decently written stalker debut, with a creepy unhinged main character.. but I just felt there was something missing.. 🤔 I could have used a little more creepiness.. or perhaps the creepiness played out better? Good twist though! And I did enjoy her writing style and will be looking forward to more!
My #bookspin pick for August!! #doublespin #bookspinbingo
My August #RIAL book club selection arrived today. Abby‘s July choice was amazing, so I‘m going to trust her on this one, even though it really doesn‘t sound like my thing.
I‘m so behind on my posts! Last one, I think! A little #bookspin memo - I finished The Stranger In The Mirror a few days ago and had it on both my July and August bookspin lists for some reason, so I chalked it up for July and took it off of August! So my bookspin book is the tagged book. 😁 #doublespin #bookspinbingo
A fast-paced thriller with a fantastic unreliable narrator. Love a good tale of obsession! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ #arc

In the same vein as YOU & FATAL ATTRACTION, Cameron‘s suspense debut may make you cringe and want to look away at times, but it‘s a compulsively compelling read & hard to actually set it down. Disgraced NYC lawyer, Cassie emerges from her apartment to take a temp job doing doc review- a huge step away from her once promising career. But soon the personal emails of a partner in the firm catch her attention and gives her life a new focus… Riveting!
