A small pick. Lee writes quite beautifully about trauma, mental illness, love, family, queerness and so much more. Her essays pack a punch while listening, but unfortunately, they didn‘t really stick with me for long.

In the USA, March is National Women‘s History Month! 🎉
1. All right, not one historical figure, but I want a book made of short bios of the first women who ran for political office in the USA. Shirley Chisholm, Victoria Woodhull, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, and others.
2. Loved this memoir!
3. Added Tomorrow Will Be Different by Sarah McBride.
#SundayFunday Have a wonderful day, and don‘t forget to tag me!
Laura Lee, a bisexual Korean American woman, presents a memoir through essays of grief, trauma, abuse, & mental illness.
Lee‘s memoir meanders. It dips & curves, repeats & double backs, as her recovery from a suicide attempt does. She writes directly, as if she is confessing to the reader as a confidant.
There were some parts of her writing where I saw myself so clearly I felt breathless. I am grateful she‘s shared her story. 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑
