Gods, this book! It‘s amazing, but why is it so accurate and WHY is it so hard to make friends in adulthood?

This is between a pick and a so-so for me, but mostly because it‘s not a genre I often enjoy, not because of anything particularly wrong with the book. It‘s kind of a rom-com but Serena Singh is looking for a friend, not a romantic partner. It has some classic rom-com features, but wasn‘t as fun/funny as I had hoped, and some elements were just eye-roll inducing. Not bad, not great, but I feel guilty giving it a so-so when it‘s me, not the book.
I loved Serena Singh Flips the Script. Serena is a strong, independent woman. Serena is smart and caring. All her parents want is for her to get married and have kids. Serena never wants to have kids or get married but is focused on her career.
Thank you Berkley and NetGalley for Serena Singh Flips the Script.
