The first 2 were a bit disappointing. I had a lot of fun with my prior Stine book, however I have started reading One Day At Horrorland & am having a blast. The Barker was frontloaded with the best stories, definitely the weakest vol I've read (cont)

vivastory The other 3 were all outstanding & scratched different itches. A week later, Open Throat continues to be one of the most surprising new releases I've read; Vasko Popa is one of my fave poets of all-time & it was great reading Simic's versions; the tagged anthology was a lot of fun. There was only one story where I guessed how the murder was committed before the reveal.

How cute is this tiny book? Went to the bookstore for 'American Heiress' and promptly fell down the rabbit hole of buying so many books. Not that I'm complaining.
