This is an odd book, but a very imaginative tale. It‘s a pretty slow unfolding of events, but not necessarily boring. It‘s hard to pin it to a genre, it‘s mystery, romance fantasy and adventure.

I liked the feminist stance towards the end.

Mrs_B Just realised that is a less than useless review. Apologies all! 6mo
Bette Not at all useless, you mentioned the genres and how imaginative it was, all that is intriguing. 👍 6mo

I wasn't sure if this would be my sort of book as I ike more of a mystery but am branching out my reading horizons so decided to give it a go and I'm glad I did. Its a slow and steady story but has much to keep you reading. I figured out early who had stolen the doll. I liked the descriptive nature of the story. I cant say any of the characters were instantly likeble but it added a darker depth to the story. #Netgalley 4*
